Friday 13th 1992
On the morning on Friday, November 13th, 1992 (The day of Bob's family was murdered) Jared knocked on Bob's door to tell him he was leaving for work, it was about 6:30am. Bob got up later and ran some errands. A friend of Bob's came over from about 11am until noon. Bob's girlfriend called a short time later to cancel lunch plans they had made the night before. Jared returned home from work. Around 3:15pm

They went down and loaded Bob's girlfriends car which Bob had frequent use of at the time. Bob gave the maintenance man some venison sausages and they drove to the Town and Country mall. Jared told Bob that Bob's mom Mary had called and invited Bob to go to a family dinner at Luby's cafeteria. Jared said he wanted to go see a friend in the area while Bob ate and that he would pick Bob up at 6.00pm. Bob walked over to the movie theatre remembering his first girlfriend who had worked there.

Bob walked around the mall and then returned to the Luby's cafeteria where he was supposed to meet his family. His family never showed up. Jared drove up about 6.30pm sweating and excited saying "get in the car" he was anxious and wound down the windows of the car even though it was a cold night. Jared told Bob he had had a fight with a friend and did not want to talk about it. Jared drove the night to the farm several times having to stop to throw up on the side of the road, claiming he had food poisoning. They arrived at the cabin at 9:00pm and ate and played cards before going to bed. In the morning Jared was himself and during the morning Jared's brother arrived to tell Bob that his entire family had been murdered
